Over 250 CEOs of the world’s top foundries & their dealers from the mechanical engineering & foundry chemical products industry conversed with senates of the main casting clients about present industry trends, challenges & future prospects at the 9th International Foundry Forum in Dresden, September 23-24, 2016.
The IFF is jointly organised by CEMAFON (The European Foundry Equipment Suppliers Association) & CAEF (The European Foundry Association).

An insight into the future of mobility was given by Reiner Kurtz. Introducing his Smart Foundry, so as to increase productivity & increase lead times the presented innovative logistic process with self-driving devices for internal transport amid others measures.
Summing up, Acting President of CEMAFON, Dr. Ioannis Ioannidis indicated that inspite of the current problems of the industry the sector can have a hopeful view towards the future if advanced solutions stay being implemented. He says, “It´s up to us to shape the future”.
